Natural Gas Vehicle Use Continues Climb in Texas
Sales to transportation sector up 79 percent
AUSTIN - Latest motor fuel tax figures from the Texas Comptroller show Texas natural gas sales for vehicles continue to climb, the Texas Natural Gas Foundation announced today. Tax collections as of August 31 are up 79 percent over the same period last year, and have quadrupled compared to two years ago.
New Education Foundation to Advance State's Natural Gas Industry
AUSTIN – The Lone Star State now has a new source to help educate the public and track natural gas energy trends in Texas and the nation with the establishment of the Texas Natural Gas Foundation (TXNG). The education initiative is led by State Representative Jason Isaac and Dr. Ken Morgan, director of the Texas Christian University (TCU) Energy Institute.
